title. Guest Lectures and Workshops
date. 2013 - Present
I have guest lectured at Bournemouth and Poole College of Further and Higher Education, The University of Winchester, The University of Dundee and the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance specialising in Dance for young people with Additional Support Needs, Community Dance Facilitation, Commercial Hip Hop, Dance and Spoken Word. Currently, I am a Doctoral Mentor at The University of Surrey, mentoring a Politics PhD student through the transition to PhD life, providing pastoral support and advice. In March 2020, I will also be working with 3rd Year BA (Hons) Dance students, introducing them to my choreographic process, 'The Remix' as both a choreographic and community practice.
In July 2016 I worked with Youth Theatre Arts Scotland, delivering a series of workshops exploring the relationship between movement and spoken word, following rhythms and subject matters in poetry through improvised dance. I delivered these workshops to 80 young people aged 14-25 at the National Festival of Youth Theatre.
In August 2016 I was selected by Argyll Youth Arts' Young Programmers Team to deliver workshops in my improvisatory and choreographic practices relating to spoken word, at their Creative Weekend Residential in Dunoon.
As part of the "We Dance Ourselves" project at The Cooper Gallery in Dundee, I also delivered a Re: Rosas workshop at The Verdant Works in December 2016 alongside fellow dance artist, Martyn Garside, reimagining Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker's seminal choreography.
